2025-07-22

DNS Lookup Optimisation.

  • Enhanced lookups to prevent timeouts or refused responses for bulk operations (like Auto Park and SPF Checker).
  • This improves reliability for these operations for organisations with over 500 domains.

Authentication Improvements.

  • Improved handling of expired browser authentication tokens with automatic redirect to sign-in.

  • Moved text content to clearer components and modal windows with improved visual hierarchy.

Enhanced TLS feedback.

  • If we detect a domain does not have MX records, we display a symbol next to the TLS status. This only applies to domains with SMTP TLS Reporting setup.

API Additions.

  • Added hasDNSSEC and hasMXRecords to the API spec, they are now returned with the tlsValidation object if validation is successful.

Enhanced TLS feedback.

  • When MTA-STS is in use, we check the domain's MX records are included in the MTA-STS policy file.
  • If we detect DNSSEC is enabled for a domain with TLS reporting on, we display a symbol next to the TLS status.

Notifications for inactive plan report processing.

  • We now notify the billing email when DMARC or TLS reports are received while your plan is not active.
  • Duplicate notifications are suppressed for one week to allow time for plan reactivation or DNS record updates.
  • Cancelled plans: After 48 hours, notifications are sent per report type (DMARC/TLS) per affected domain.
  • Other inactive plan statuses: Single notification per organisation as a reminder.

Reduce automatic unpark false positives.

  • The parked flag will no longer be automatically toggled off if a DNS query times out while checking the DMARC record, as these are typically transient issues that resolve on their own.

API Error Message Enhancements.

  • Enhanced API error message detail to be more useful.

Dark mode support for Docs site.

  • Dark mode for the Dashboard is coming soon.

2025-06-28

Enhanced user management and improved SPF record evaluation.

User Management

  • Added 'Last Access' column to Users page for Organisation Admins, displaying the number of days since each user's last login with hover tooltip showing the last access date and date the user was added.
  • The dates are converted from UTC to local and displayed in YYYY-MM-DD format.
  • Users without recent access (over 2 months) will display 'Never' until their next access.

SPF Checker Updates

  • Modified SPF checker to treat "-all" mechanisms as OK rather than flagging them with a warning, reducing false positives for organisations intentionally using strict SPF policies.
  • Added a contextual note in the summary column in those cases to provide additional guidance on policy implications.

Performance Improvements

  • Enhanced processing capabilities for very large DMARC reports, improving reliability and reducing processing delays for high-traffic domains.

Plus minor fixes and stability improvements across the platform.

Authentication and RFC Compliance Improvement.

  • Added Google Single Sign-On, allowing users to sign in with their Google accounts.
  • Improved alignment detection in Auth Results to more accurately highlight domain identifiers aligned in relaxed mode in accordance with RFC 7489.

  • Added guidance modals for users on trial, paused, or canceled plans when managing billing.

A preview of our new SPF Record Checker and Sender Compliance Report.

  • SPF Record Checker added (Insights > SPF Checker) to analyse SPF records to draw attention to potential issues or misconfiguration.
  • Sender Compliance Report added (Insights > Senders) to give an overview of all senders and provide DMARC compliance statistics with the highest and lowest compliance of the domains that service has sent from. This is to help when managing lots of domains that send from the same services.

Plus minor fixes.

  • Enhanced character sanitisation when adding domains.
  • Corrected the API spec for deleting domains.

2025-03-17

Minor fix and improvement relating to domain tag sanitisation and de-duplication checks.

  • Tags can now contain letters, numbers, spaces, underscores, and hyphens.
  • Character sanitisation is now also done on the input field so it is clearer.

Enhanced the Disposition column on the Sender Detail page.

  • Added a conditional tooltip next to the disposition value showing any policy override reasons.
  • Displays "Reported Reason(s)" for messages with DMARC policy overrides.
  • Not all reports include these reasons, so the tooltip only appears when this optional data is available.
  • Helps diagnose why messages might be treated differently than expected despite DMARC policy.

This enhancement makes it easier to understand special handling decisions.

2025-02-16

Added TLS Failure Alert emails.

  • New email alerts when TLS report containing a failure is received for a domain.
  • Alerts are sent to configured "Alert Email Addresses" (Settings > Organisation).
  • Additional alerts for the same domain are suppressed for 7 days to prevent alert fatigue.
  • Quickly identify potential inbound email disruption when using MTA-STS or DANE.

We recommend using an out-of-band alert email address to ensure the delivery of these alerts is not impacted by TLS issues.

  • This is designed to quickly identify cases where a sender is authorised by SPF but DKIM is not enabled or is not setup correctly.

Filtering and Sorting Enhancements.

  • Applies to Dashboard and Domains table columns.
  • Look out for the filter and sort icons.
  • The filter on the Dashboard Domain column enables searching by domain, tag or reference.
  • The default Status sort order for the Domains page has been refined to put domains both OK and parked at the end.

TLS Reporting improvements.

  • The pre-release preview notice has been removed.

Added TLS Reporting for pre-release preview use.

2024-07-27

Added a new email alert feature. Right now it only sends alerts for parked domains that have transitioned from parked to active status. Set up your alert email addresses on the Organisation Page. New customers will automatically have an alert email address set to the email address used to sign up. Existing customers need to set this up manually.

Made the AutoPark feature dialog box clearer to better explain how to activate it on a domain.
